€8 a month, nothing to install
200,000 pageviews and 10 sites for €8 a month, excluding VAT. No server, no database, no updates. Above that, the published tiers are €29 for 500,000 pageviews, €39 for 1 million and €59 for 2 million.
Search Console and Bing on the same screen
You connect your Google Search Console and your Bing Webmaster Tools account. Keywords, clicks, impressions and positions appear next to your visitors, read-only. Matomo does it too, through a premium plugin: included in Matomo Cloud at €29, paid for when self-hosted.
No banner, 100% of visitors
Snorklee reads nothing from the browser and writes nothing to it: there is nothing to accept, so nothing to refuse. You count 100% of your visitors. Matomo sets cookies by default; its cookieless mode exists, but you have to switch it on and keep it on.
When Matomo is still the better choice.
A comparison that hides a rival’s strengths backfires. Here are ours, the other way round.
Matomo is far older than Snorklee, and so is its community. Matomo Cloud includes 30 sites, three times our 10. The self-hosted edition is free and unlimited in volume — unbeatable if you can run a server. Matomo offers heatmaps, session recordings and dozens of plugins we do not have. Our argument is elsewhere: €8 a month excluding VAT, no banner to install, no infrastructure to maintain.
Move from Matomo to Snorklee in three steps.
You stop administering an analytics server. Count a few minutes.
- Create an account and add your site. The trial lasts 14 days, no credit card.
- Replace the Matomo code with the Snorklee one: a single line in the header, or the WordPress plugin.
- Check the data in real time, keep both tools for a few days, then switch the old one off.
Your history: Snorklee does not import your Matomo data. Measurement starts on installation, and your history stays in Matomo — export it from Matomo to archive it.
