Install Snorklee on WordPress without editing your theme

Snorklee Analytics plugin 2.3.4+ injects the tracker, enables 1st-party self-hosting via /js/flow.js, tests the install and captures AI crawlers server-side. No analytics cookie, no WordPress tracking table.

What the plugin does

A complete WordPress integration

Automatic injection

The tracker is added to the head of public pages through the WordPress API, without editing header.php or relying on the theme.

1st-party self-host

The browser loads /js/flow.js from your domain. WordPress then forwards /api/* endpoints to Snorklee, with no DNS or Nginx setup.

Install test

The settings page runs an HTTP probe that checks the domain, data-site and active mode, standard or self-host.

AI crawler capture

The plugin includes a server beacon to count known AI bots that read your HTML without running JavaScript.

FAQ for search and AI

Direct questions about the WordPress plugin

Is the plugin the recommended path on WordPress?
Yes. It avoids theme edits, survives updates and enables 1st-party self-hosting from wp-admin.
Does self-host require DNS?
Not on WordPress. The plugin creates the required WordPress routes for /js/flow.js and /api/*. DNS or reverse-proxy recipes remain useful for non-WordPress sites.
Does the plugin replace GDPR documentation?
No. It installs Snorklee cleanly. Your visitor notice, other tools and legal basis still need review. See the international compliance page.
Where do I get the plugin?
Use WordPress.org for the public listing, or the download in the Snorklee dashboard if you install from your account.
