Processors
This page lists the processors Snorklee relies on to deliver the service. For the audience measurement operated on customer sites, the customer is in principle the data controller and Snorklee acts as a processor, under the terms of the DPA.
All production audience data is hosted in the European Union.
Main processors
| Processor | Role | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Clever Cloud | Application hosting and database | France (EU) |
| DB-IP / Eris Networks | IP geolocation database | France (EU) |
| Brevo | Transactional emails | France (EU) |
| Mollie | Payments | Netherlands (EU) |
| Mistral AI | Public AI-visibility check and documentation assistant | France (EU) |
| Scaleway | Public audit scans | France (EU) |
Note on Mistral AI: no audience data is sent to it. Since August 2026 no summary is generated from your visit aggregates — the feature was removed. The two remaining uses are the public AI-visibility check, which sends the content of the analysed site's public pages, and the documentation assistant, which answers from our own help pages. EU hosting and retention limits rest on the provider's contractual commitment (Mistral DPA, Art. 28 GDPR) — the API offers no per-request technical residency lock.
Optional connections
Some features, disabled by default and enabled at the customer's choice, rely on additional third-party services:
- Google Search Console / Bing Webmaster Tools: read-only connection to retrieve the customer site's search data.
Changes to the list
The detailed list of processors, their roles and any related safeguards are also described in the DPA and the compliance documentation. This list may change with reasonable notice where the change is significant.
