Filters

Three controls at the top of the dashboard drive everything you see: the site picker, the "Filter" button and the "Compare" button. Every card obeys them.

#Choosing the site

If your account tracks several sites, the top-left menu shows the one you're looking at. Click it to see your list of sites and open another one — every card on the tab reloads for the new site.

#The "Filter" button — period and level of detail

Seven ready-made periods, plus one you set yourself:

• Today — from this morning (local time) until now.
• 24h — the last 24 hours.
• Yesterday — all of yesterday (local time).
• 7 days (default) — the last seven days.
• 30 days — the last thirty days.
• 90 days — the last three months; also the usual limit for the dashboard's detailed views.
• 12 months — offered in the menu, but most cards still stop at the last 90 days while the longer-range views are being rolled out.
• Custom — a calendar to pick your two dates (from… to…).

The same button also sets the chart's level of detail (automatic / hour / day / week / month / year). On automatic, we pick the step that suits the period on screen, never going past what we're allowed to keep.

It also lets you show just one slice of your data by a single criterion (country, channel, source, page, device, and so on). When a filter is on, the button shows which one.

#The "Compare" button

Three choices:

• None (default) — your numbers, no comparison.
• Previous period — the stretch right before, same length. e.g. 30d against the 30d before.
• Previous year (YoY) — the same dates a year earlier. Uses the numbers we keep long-term (25 months).

#Timezone

The dashboard shows dates and times in your timezone (set from My account). Behind the scenes the "Filter" button sends its bounds to the server in universal time (UTC); your browser shows them back in your timezone.

#Filtering inside a card

Some cards open up with a click: click a row (a country, a source, a page) and you open its detail — the regions of a country, for instance. Those filters are not kept: they last for your visit. To hold on to a view, use the "Download all data (CSV ZIP)" button at the top of the dashboard — it keeps the period and gives you one CSV per view.

#Segments in the "Filter" button

The Segments part of the "Filter" button lets you keep just one slice of your data: country, region, channel, referrer, page, event, device, browser, operating system, language, download, outbound link, internal search or AI robot. City is neither collected nor offered.

These filters apply to the view on screen and stay editable from the "Filter" button. They make none of your data public.
